You inspired me to go with a 222 which I love and thank you from the bottom of my heart because I love it.

2024 and in New Zealand .222 factory ammo is around $55 upwards for 20 rounds..ammo here has sky rocketed since covid..even reloading gear isnt cheap
Most powder has almost doubled in price, I've been told by next spring it will be 50% more than it is now.

Try 10mm. Little more ass in the round and have seen no issues on here with it.
Find the water see fresh sign. That's a great case, really nice. I wish more people went with the old smoke pole. I always found in the cold to bump up the load a few grains, but heck with warm weather like that, any decent load will do it. I think 80gr is perfect, nice job. Thanks for the tip on the back pack, need a new one really bad. Great thanks
Well F_ _ k me....man that was brilliant...well done. Put a washer on the top of the casings and it slides perfect. Also you can get a ball bearing washer Flat type to put on top to rotate. ___

I'm surprised you can find a place that even has prairie dogs we have not been successful in doing that. Outfitters want north of $500 a day😂😂😂😂. They are out of their minds.
You say you are converting that for a camera. Would that ball head be suitable to use for a 12 to 16lb. rifle? IYO
It's a 42mm ball, max load of 44lbs. I think it's the same size as the new tripod ball head. When the heat wave breaks, I'll get them both out & switch them back and forth in the real world.

@@jazzflounder67 Right, but the rifle has to be capable of living up to the marksman and ARs aren't usually quite that good. That rifle appears be shooting well under MOA and ARs that can do that are not that common. That one might just be a real gem.
This is the least accurate AR that I own. All others are Rock River barrels.
@@cavedweller1959 That's kinda hard to believe, that 350 yard shot was dead nuts on a prairie dog so it was either luck or 1/2 minute accuracy. I custom built a 20" AR with Aero Precision upper/lower and a Faxon Match Series barrel that gives me 3/4 MOA. I'm gonna work up a load with the new Hornady 62gr ELD-VTs to see if I can better it but a 350 yard shot on a p-diddy with an AR is still one hell of a shot.
